Tufnell Park, N19

The young couple in this London townhouse were hardworking with a young child and had no time for gardening. The planting beds had been neglected since the whole space had been re-landscaped. The brief was for low-maintenance, year-round colour with pops of bright colour.

Design Philosophy

This planting design reflects a memorable honeymoon in New Zealand which resulted in the essential inclusion of a tree fern. The plant palette provides year-round interest with something colourful coming into flower every month. The climbers will soften the boundaries to create a tranquil haven for the young family.
